ok the reason i'm doing this is goofy but what the hell, it's my blog.
i googled "cerebus2004 pokerstars" and found myself in a couple of discussion threads. granted, this was for real money and i folded preflop both times but there i was! so i do this in the hopes that these players someday google their names and find themselves here!

MDC Day 46 (craziest day ever)
opening balance = 213,615
this day was so outrageous with a couple of crazy ass hands which i really should have saved to replayed since my notes now (this was more than a week ago) are incomprehensible to me for the most part.
it was also outrageous in a couple of other ways which i'll explain below.
started out with a 10 k 18 man and WON that sucker for a prize of 72,000.
I then entered a 25k 9 man and WON it also! woohoo! for a prize of 112,500. heres where i wrote down a couple of hands. i was once in 5th with an allin less than 10X bb pre-flop with k9 suited and got a call against someones pocket aces. i got runner runner ks to take down the hand. a few hands later i was allin a4 against 99. j,10, 4 came out on the flop. and then runner runner j 10 for two pair on board and my ace kicker is better. wow. i then went on to victory. this was jokerstars at it's best but for once in my favor!
here's a side note on something i do alot of the time. i have another tourney going at same time but sometimes it does not count if i make a deal with myself ahead of time. the reason for this is if i did do good at the tourney i initially entered, would i really enter the next one if i was going one at a time or a more expensive one?
at the time i was winning this 25 k 9 man, with some extreme luck, i was also in a 10k 27 man but with the note that if i finished 1st or 2nd in 25k 9 man, IT would not count. usually this has worked out good for me as i've finished poorly in one or the other and it went on to count, but this time I ended up WINNING that 10k 27 man but true to my word, it did not count and i erased the 10k entry fee and the 99,900 prize from consideration.
If it had counted i would be 3 for 3 today with 3 victories but alas....must move on.
I then entered another 25 k 9 man and took 2nd for prize of 67,500 and ended a great day.
BUT wait, at the same time was in another 25 k 9 man to start day 47 but had the note that IT would not count if i finished 1st or 2nd in my day 46 ending 25k 9 man. I ended up WINNING that sucker too and it had to be erased.
Godalmighty. That sucks but i am on a roll that's for sure and i can feel this ending soon!

Oh my God. the frist day i've had cashing in in all three! what a way to follow up the dreadful day 34! started off with a 25k 9 man and WON that sucker. it was a tremondous win as i really had to settle down and battle and be patient when i fell to 600 chips and 7th of 7. so satisfying to stay patient and get the couple of bozos who made bad calls going flushes and got them. then entered a 10 27 and finished 4th. Only a prize of 27,000 but hey, better then losing and then back to the 25k 9 man and finished 2nd for a prize of 67,500.
WOW! an awesome day. i'm a quarter of the way there!

having lost 115,000 in two days, my spirits are down. they sunk even furthur after my first entry in a 10k 27. playing a little too conservatively i finished one spot OTM with a 6th. can be even more frustrating than an early exit. this put my balance at 66,740. entered another 10k 27 and HOLY COW, right in the nick of time, finished 1st. (my first win in one these? shameful! this MDC has been somewhat of a joke.) a prize of 99,900 was very nice but then i went out and finished 8th in a 25k 9. but back over six digits.

million dollar review of goal and rules
trying to see how fast i can get from 1000 to 1,000,000. can only play 3 sitngos a day. my goal was 60 days. i feel where i'm at now i can do it in 50 or less. frustrating i'm not winning many! could be at 225K by now with a few wins!
can only enter the following:
300 : 9,18,27, and 45
2000: 9,18,27, and 45
10,000 : 18,27 (doesnt offer 9, 45)
25,000 : 9 (all they have)
50,000 : 9,18,27
80,000 : 9,18,27
in other words, none of the new ones that have appeared in recent months. none of the 150k and 200k, not the 15,000 360 man. which if i won would end this thing. and i probably could win one of em if i entered 3 a day for next 30 days. (when do these fill up though?--just checked and only 1 running right now and its down to final table and 2 players! and only 2 hours and 10 minutes!?! what the hell? i've had 27's last longer than that!)
alright, then!

first tourney entered a 10,325 27 man and took 2nd paying out 72,900! yeah. entered 2 more and finished 1 spot out of money at 6th and then took 5th for 21,600. that was a sweet victory as i was once 18th of 18 left with an incredibly low 33 chips left. yes, 33! and i went on to lead for awhile, 1 of 6, but then blew it. an incredible comeback though. unreal.
closing balance = 98,090 it's about time. 60 days should be no problem. maybe 50?

MDC Day 1
Success!
With my first 1000, I entered three 300+20 27 man tourneys. Finished 14th, 7th , and 1st. 1st paid 2997 plus the 40 left over gives me a balance of 3037.
Be nice to get out of the 300 dollar tourneys. Bunch of lottery players. I swear it will take longer to get from 1000-100,000 then it will to get from 100,000 - 1,000,000.
I may do Day 2 later. 3 sitngo's = a day so what's the calendar really matter.

million dollar challenge pt 1
something new to do.......
will see how many days it takes me to win 1,000,000 play money on pokerstars starting with 1000. will only play sit n gos and will only average 3 a day for the million dollar challenge. (miss a day, can play 6 the next, etc.) first 3 sitngo's of the day will be part of the million dollar challenge. should be fun and i'm predicting 60 days, but that's probably ambitious.
should be fun.....

feels like i've been playing the best poker i ever have. just took 2nd in 2 80k 27 men on pstars. had dreams of winning them both when i was 1st of 5 left in each one with commanding leads. but alas....... more than a million in prize chips for those though. flew past the 8 mil mark for a new high.

quads
was a big pot and a great way to go into the 4 minute break on a 10k 90 man tourney. put me in 6th of 31 left, which makes it one of the tougher 90 mans i've seen. usually 24-27 left at the hour mark.

new balances
haven't posted replays in awhile. hard to do playing 4 games at once.
been incredibly hot on fulltilt. just won a 100k 18 man and have won a couple of 100k 9 mans recently. are the 10k tourneys a thing of the past now?
pokerstars = 6,431,474
fulltilt = 2,402,623 (can't believe that figure!)
also discovered $1.05 in real money in my absolutepoker acct and turned it into $1.20 so i could do a cheap tourney and now have built that to $5.50! whoa baby!

read this correctly
he would've bet more if he had a high pocket pair. trying to bully. he should've folded my all in bet.
my butt really hurts now!
and i was doing so good for awhile yesterday! won a 10,000 18 man fulltilt but a nonplace in another and 2 losses in pokerstars 80k 18 man and 27 man. was sure going good for awhile though. ouchie!
easy read here...........
a-k for you baby! read my big blind cards and weep! (he should've raised to $300 to avoid something like this happening. i would have folded and then groaned!)
perfect betting
by me! i think i maximized the pot as well as i could have while hoping to avoid the flush. afterwards wiedsee and i got into an argument. one of those players who thinks this game is all luck and nothing but luck.

two of us.....
slow playing our ace in hand. guess what? i win!! would i have posted it if i hadn't? ok, i'll start posting hands i make mistakes in so look for one of those on a biweekly basis.
i beat the pocket k's with a straight on turn
he should've definitely made a big raise after the flop. don't give a player a chance to get straight or flush.
pause this after the flop
what would you do? slim bandit bets $320. i'm thinking there's no way he's playing a 3 not in blinds. i take the chance and call him on it and go all in. what would you have done?
flopped straight vs pocket aces
gave me a big lead in 50k 9 man but went on to just take 3rd. not a good morning tournament wise. 4 50 k 9 mans and that was it. 1 3rd! criminy.
love when this happens
open ended straight draw AND a flush draw. literally SEVENTEEN winning cards in the deck!

bad player chouchou
he was giving it away today! too funny. if you had the balls, you had his chips. here i pressured him and it was unbelievable he called without the flush. wow.
bad case of slow playing aces
shameful not to match his preflop raise after flop. let me stay in. ha. wow.
nice full house
he flopped the damn straight and should have pushed more than. i would have stayed in of course. fun hand.

big pot at full tilt
needed this after accidentally calling a 92000 all in earlier. damn! back under a million at fulltilt but thankfully got this. so afraid they had a pocket pair. tough to call.
pokerstars play money tourneys
damn, the best players are on the 80,000 9 man tourneys and the worst are on the 50,000 9 man tourneys. strange. i clean up constantly on the 50k 9's.
out of boredom lately i have been going to the lowly 300 9 man and offering 5k to whoever knocks me out. i don't get knocked out. lol. ok, maybe 2 of the 6 times i've done it.
