MDC Day 46 (craziest day ever)

opening balance = 213,615

this day was so outrageous with a couple of crazy ass hands which i really should have saved to replayed since my notes now (this was more than a week ago) are incomprehensible to me for the most part.

it was also outrageous in a couple of other ways which i'll explain below.

started out with a 10 k 18 man and WON that sucker for a prize of 72,000.

I then entered a 25k 9 man and WON it also! woohoo! for a prize of 112,500. heres where i wrote down a couple of hands. i was once in 5th with an allin less than 10X bb pre-flop with k9 suited and got a call against someones pocket aces. i got runner runner ks to take down the hand. a few hands later i was allin a4 against 99. j,10, 4 came out on the flop. and then runner runner j 10 for two pair on board and my ace kicker is better. wow. i then went on to victory. this was jokerstars at it's best but for once in my favor!

here's a side note on something i do alot of the time. i have another tourney going at same time but sometimes it does not count if i make a deal with myself ahead of time. the reason for this is if i did do good at the tourney i initially entered, would i really enter the next one if i was going one at a time or a more expensive one?

at the time i was winning this 25 k 9 man, with some extreme luck, i was also in a 10k 27 man but with the note that if i finished 1st or 2nd in 25k 9 man, IT would not count. usually this has worked out good for me as i've finished poorly in one or the other and it went on to count, but this time I ended up WINNING that 10k 27 man but true to my word, it did not count and i erased the 10k entry fee and the 99,900 prize from consideration.

If it had counted i would be 3 for 3 today with 3 victories but alas....must move on.

I then entered another 25 k 9 man and took 2nd for prize of 67,500 and ended a great day.

BUT wait, at the same time was in another 25 k 9 man to start day 47 but had the note that IT would not count if i finished 1st or 2nd in my day 46 ending 25k 9 man. I ended up WINNING that sucker too and it had to be erased.

Godalmighty. That sucks but i am on a roll that's for sure and i can feel this ending soon!

started out by finishing OTM in a 10k 27 (8th) and a 10k 18 (6th) but then, YES, victory!, a 1st place in a 10k 27 for a prize of 99,900.

started out with a 10 k 27 to try to get my confidence and game back on track and took 4th for a prize of 27,000. Then entered a 10k 18 man still feeling less than confident and finished 5th, 1 spot OTM. closed the day out by finishing, again, 1 spot OTM, 4th, in a 25k 9.

struck out today. OTM in a 50k 9 and then OTM in 2 25 k 9's. 7th, 5th and 4th respectively....

woohoo! a great day!

started with finishing 2nd in a 10k 27 for a payoff of 72,900. then finished 4th in a 25k 9 man but played real well. then WON a 25k 9 man for a payoff of 112,500.

almost doubled up today and over 1/4 million dollars for the second time. need to build on this and END this soon!

Oh my God. the frist day i've had cashing in in all three! what a way to follow up the dreadful day 34! started off with a 25k 9 man and WON that sucker. it was a tremondous win as i really had to settle down and battle and be patient when i fell to 600 chips and 7th of 7. so satisfying to stay patient and get the couple of bozos who made bad calls going flushes and got them. then entered a 10 27 and finished 4th. Only a prize of 27,000 but hey, better then losing and then back to the 25k 9 man and finished 2nd for a prize of 67,500.

WOW! an awesome day. i'm a quarter of the way there!

real bad day. 18th in a 10k 27 and then entered 2 25k 9's and finished 8th and 6th. godalmighty. one step forward, two steps back.

entered 3 10k 27's and ITM once with a strong 2nd for a prize of 72,900 but also a frustrating 6th and 8th. a good hot streak and this could be over soon. just trying to manage my money good and not enter 25k or, soon, 50ks, until confident and alert.

having lost 115,000 in two days, my spirits are down. they sunk even furthur after my first entry in a 10k 27. playing a little too conservatively i finished one spot OTM with a 6th. can be even more frustrating than an early exit. this put my balance at 66,740. entered another 10k 27 and HOLY COW, right in the nick of time, finished 1st. (my first win in one these? shameful! this MDC has been somewhat of a joke.) a prize of 99,900 was very nice but then i went out and finished 8th in a 25k 9. but back over six digits.

man oh man. a crappy day. OTM with a 4th in a 25k 9 and then 2 entires in 10k 27's ended in a 13th and 16th place. 5 straight 10k 27's without even a final table appearance. sinking fast.

like the previous day began with an ITM 4th in a 10k 27 but then entered two more with two dismal finishes, 18th and 19th. a bad day with poor play.

million dollar review of goal and rules

trying to see how fast i can get from 1000 to 1,000,000. can only play 3 sitngos a day. my goal was 60 days. i feel where i'm at now i can do it in 50 or less. frustrating i'm not winning many! could be at 225K by now with a few wins!

can only enter the following:

300 : 9,18,27, and 45
2000: 9,18,27, and 45
10,000 : 18,27 (doesnt offer 9, 45)
25,000 : 9 (all they have)
50,000 : 9,18,27
80,000 : 9,18,27

in other words, none of the new ones that have appeared in recent months. none of the 150k and 200k, not the 15,000 360 man. which if i won would end this thing. and i probably could win one of em if i entered 3 a day for next 30 days. (when do these fill up though?--just checked and only 1 running right now and its down to final table and 2 players! and only 2 hours and 10 minutes!?! what the hell? i've had 27's last longer than that!)

woohoo, the day finally arrived i could be proud of! started out 10th in a 10,325 27 man but then finished 2nd in one for a prize of 72,900 (cant believe i havent won one of these) and then entered a 25,500 9 man and finished 3rd for a prize of 45,000. i literally doubled up today! If and when i attempt the MDC again, i really have to predict i will get there MUCH sooner.

a bad day. OTM in 2 10,325 27 man's and the ole stand by 2110 45 man ended in a dismal 21st place. almost a third of the way there in my 60 days and i dont even have 3% of a million! yikes.

trying to get my confidence back i entered 2 2110's, a 27 and a 45. didnt finish ITM (in the money) in the 27 but WON the 45. Two in a row of that kind i have won with a nice return of 31,500. then went and finished OTM (out of the money) in a 10,325 27 man. 10th place.

a disastrous 2 days, a disastrous 6 tourneys. 6 10,235 27 mans. all 6 out of the money. 8th, 9th, 6th, 10th, 10th, and 20th. frustrating and a huge step back.

MDC Day 15

first tourney entered a 10,325 27 man and took 2nd paying out 72,900! yeah. entered 2 more and finished 1 spot out of money at 6th and then took 5th for 21,600. that was a sweet victory as i was once 18th of 18 left with an incredibly low 33 chips left. yes, 33! and i went on to lead for awhile, 1 of 6, but then blew it. an incredible comeback though. unreal.

Million Dollar Challenge Day 14

In which i attempt to go from 1000 to 1,000,000 on pokerstars in 60 days playing 3 sitngo's per day.

opening balance = 25,827

out of the money in a 27 man 10,325 tourney (just not having much luck in those as i usually do) so stepped down to a 2110 45 man and WON it which paid 31,500 and then promptly gave 10,325 of it back, finishing 14th in a 27 man. geez.

closing balance = 34,565

damn good day and my 2nd very successful day in doing this : 3 2110's 27, 18, and 9. took 4th, 1st, and 3rd respectively, in the $$ in all 3.

4th in a 2110 18 man for 3600. gee, thats a 1490 profit! and 15th in a 2110 27 man ended a bad day.

Success!


With my first 1000, I entered three 300+20 27 man tourneys. Finished 14th, 7th , and 1st. 1st paid 2997 plus the 40 left over gives me a balance of 3037.

Be nice to get out of the 300 dollar tourneys. Bunch of lottery players. I swear it will take longer to get from 1000-100,000 then it will to get from 100,000 - 1,000,000.

I may do Day 2 later. 3 sitngo's = a day so what's the calendar really matter.

hung around the 3 million mark forever then dropped as low as 1.2 mil then got it up to 4.4 and then in one glorious 48 hour period took it up to 7.1.

found it harder then hell to get going on fulltilt. gave up for the longest time. had it up to 1.3 million but have faltered. won a 10,000 90 man tourney which was exciting and also finished 3rd in a 2500 463 man tourney. love those big tournaments on there. wish pokerstars had them.
